1. A freshly written monthly letter typed on a manual typewriter... or maybe even handwritten.

Your monthly letter will be unique each month, written exclusively for the Words + Art Club. I'll either type it on a real, old-fashioned typewriter (not the computer using the "typing" font), or I'll handwrite it. Then I'll have it printed, and then I'll sign each and send you one.

2. An original poem, written by me, an award-winning poet.

I like poems you can enjoy it on the first reading. I like poetry that's not a bunch of esoteric, overworked, smart-but-stuck-up gobbly-goop. My favorite poems are intriguing on the first reading, and then get deeper and richer with each reading after that. This the kind of poetry I strive to write. ​RIGHT HERE is a poem of mine, for example!​​

3. A limited-edition, signed art print. Could be color, could be black-and-white, will always be original and made by me.

It may be an ink drawing or a pencil drawing, a watercolor, a collage, or perhaps an ink print. There will be a new piece of art each month that I'll have reproduced in a limited quantity, and then I'll put my signature on each print—and you'll get one in your envelope.

Oof, I'm tired of the balance tipping more and more in the direction of digital life.

Obviously you and are using the internet right now, so I'm not saying "down with the internet!" I like the internet—that's how we ran across each other, after all.

What I don't love is the imbalance, the unevenness, the ditching of things that the human body really likes.

It's as though someone decided we don't need the things that contribute to our physical enjoyment of this life.

But that someone is wrong

The more technology innovates, the more we need things we can touch, hold, and physically experience.
