Shiny greetings, Reader,
While I've been round-the-clock busy following my stepdad's stroke three weeks ago (and am storing up plenty to talk about pertaining to the US medical system)—and am somewhat absorbed in this, I'm still managing to feel the effects of our collective energy.
Which is not very good energy. You might even say we're in a collectively crappy mood.
The weather, the politics, the scandals, the "truth coming out" stories, the increasing us-and-them divisions between us.
So much yuk. So much blame and anger and freak-out and fear. So much mud, really.
Our collective mood is in the dumps, and in addition to wallowing on the sofa eating potato chips on end, we're on high alert in front of God and everybody, as my grandmother used to say.
It's a choice
However, shiny Reader, you and I can affect the collective energy with our own individual energy.
Crazy as it might sound, we can deliberately choose calm, peace, and even happiness.
And why wouldn't we do this?
If we have a choice—and we do—why would we choose anything but a higher frequency vibration? A vibration that feels good instead of not-so-good?
Why, since we don't have to lie down and take it when it comes to our energy, would we choose murky, unhappy, fearful energy when we could choose otherwise?
It's a habit
We're simply in the habit of letting our surroundings—events, people, and info—determine our energy/our mood/our vibration.
It's a cultural paradigm that we can shift. Or even flip on its side altogether.
Just because we've been in the habit of reacting to what's going on around us and what we hear doesn't mean we can't change that habit to one of deliberately choosing our responses—and therefore our energy.
The deal is that we can—and I say we should—turn up our energy.
Since it's a habit change from the default we all inherit, though, we have to instill a new habit, and that requires attention. But still, it's not at all impossible for us all to greatly improve the quality of our energy.
And when we do this, we improve the collective energy.
It's all energy
So what do you say we do this? What do you say to you and I turning up our energy... every day... on purpose?
Because if we don't turn up the energy, who will?
Let's not wait for something to get better, or for someone, by gosh, to fix all this. WE can affect this, even greatly... Because everything is energy, and energy is everything.
And shoot, even the murky, muddy energy may be useful to a point. To paraphrase the Buddhist monk, Thich Nhat Hanh:
From the mud grows the lotus.
I don't know how much more mud we need before we can see the lotus, but let's you and I use our energy to look forward to seeing the lotus rather than using our energy to dwell on all the mud.
I'm honored to speak to you from the other side of the screen today—
I have so much love and appreciation for you.
